hydrogen pressure vesselsIt’s always interesting to keep up with H2 View magazine’s latest news, not least today when we see that, following its work as technical advisor on the project, Worley is set to provide the front end engineering design (FEED) study for what is being labelled Queensland’s largest renewable hydrogen project.

This FEED is for Stanwell Corporation’s 2.2GW Central Queensland Hydrogen Project (CQ-H2), a new hydrogen production and transfer facility.  H2 View also reports ( Worley to undertake FEED study for Queensland’s ‘largest’ renewable hydrogen project | Power | H2 View ( ) that Worley will handle the hydrogen liquefaction facility’s pre-FEED study too.

The figures being reported for this major Australian project are impressive:  a plan for 640MW of electrolysers designed to produce up to 200 tonnes of renewable hydrogen/day; the potential to expand to approximately 2,240MW electrolysis capacity;  a daily output of up to 800 tonnes.

The progress being made with such enormous projects places the focus back on the wider hydrogen infrastructure, including storage and transportation in the form of high pressure vessels.
