high pressure gas vessels for storage and transportationIt’s always exciting to be a part of an industry that is working hard to develop technologies to benefit people around the globe and this is certainly true today in the hydrogen sector, for which FIBA designs and manufactures high pressure gas vessels for storage and transportation.

Hydrogen costing just $1/kg is one goal of a new $17.5m collaboration between universities around the globe, including Arizona State University, the UK’s Cranfield University and the Universities of Adelaide and Toronto.  This international partnership forming the five-year Global Hydrogen Production Technologies Center (HyPT) project is seeking to make low-cost/high volume hydrogen available by accelerating Net Zero technologies.

As reported by H2 View magazine, the UK’s lead on the project is Nazmive Ozkan who is quoted saying:

“HyPT is a transformative international collaboration dedicated to driving the development of a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem. Our mission is to unlock the potential of Net Zero hydrogen production making it an accessible and affordable energy source.

“What’s crucial is that this initiative will not only advance cutting-edge hydrogen technologies, but also address the economic and policy dimensions that are essential to developing a global hydrogen economy.”
