Det Norske Veritas (DNV) has awarded to FIBA its Manufacturing Survey Arrangement (MSA) No. R-3468.  This MSA is applicable to Seamless Gas Bottles and Pressure Vessels Class I and II subject to testing and inspection for conformance with the requirements of DNV Classification Rules.  FIBA previously held certificate T-1496.  R-3468 is unique and highly regarded because it permits FIBA to perform testing and inspection without attendance of the Surveyor and to prepare certificates that will be validated by DNV.  In other words, the FIBA quality system is held in such high regard by DNV that we are permitted to perform our QA functions without a witness.  This certificate remains valid until June 30, 2016.
