FIBA
Technologies is known as the technical leader with
regard to the industrial, specialty and chemical
transportation industry. Our leadership has led to
the development of patented, unique,
transportation solutions, DOT exemptions for the
retest of storage equipment, and many advanced
techniques to lower our customer's turnaround time
and maintenance costs.
Our membership in industry trade and technical
organizations insures that we remain at the
forefront of technology, safety, and regulatory
affairs. FIBA
is a proud member of the following organizations:
Compressed Gas Association (CGA), Gases and
Welding Distributors Association (GAWDA), and the
International Oxygen Manufacturers Association (IOMA).

Engineering
and Design
FIBA
Technologies, Inc. employs Professional Engineers
and experienced designers to insure that the
products we sell are the safest and finest in the
compressed gas and cryogenic industry.
Using CAD systems, we can design a
cryogenic or CO2 tank and trailer from
start to finish.
We use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for
our piping and tank designs, and can produce tanks
that are rated for any Seismic/Wind Code.
Our engineers have a full knowledge of the
industry codes, including DOT, ASME, CGA and IMO,
to insure that the product is safe, efficient and
in full compliance with all pertinent regulations.
To
assist with the design of systems for compressed
gas distribution, we have developed programs for
gas flow analysis (pressure drop), compressor
efficiency, and the calculation of gas volumes and
bridge weight law compliance to insure optimum
product payloads.
We can provide drawings to our customers of
general arrangements or as-built and our
engineering expertise is available to our
customers for consultation.
Machine
Shop
FIBA’s
Machine Division, operating on behalf of all FIBA
facilities and customers, has many capabilities and the very
latest, precision equipment.
Our machine shop is equipped with two (2)
CNC lathes, one (1) CNC Vertical Machining Center,
one (1) CNC Machining Center, a Bridgeport, three
(3) tool room lathes, radial drills, surface
grinders, saws and other miscellaneous equipment.
We have a Starrett comparator (Model
HE350), Starrett digital vrenier height gages, a
profilometer, electronic venier, and many more
inspection and measuring tools. All machined products are in full
compliance with DOT, ASME and CGA specifications.
In particular, our safety devices are
designed, manufactured, tested and certified by a
Manufacturing Engineer to the requirements of CGA
Pamphlet S-1.1.
Combined, the Class A Machinists working at
FIBA have over 100 years of experience.
Quality
Assurance
Our
quality assurance department also utilizes the
very latest tools to insure product cleanliness
and quality.
These include an Infracal Analyzer, which
measures hydrocarbon levels/process samples, a
Laboratory for calculating particulate population
and Non-volatile Residue (NVR) levels, and an
Elcometer Dry Film Thickness and Surface Coating
Test Instrument, which measures coating thickness
on our in-process and finished products.
We also use helium mass spectrometer equipment to
perform leaktesting of electronic-grade
equipment. Of course, all of our QA equipment is
calibrated to industry standards to guarantee
accurate performance.
