FIBA Donates to Habitat for Humanity

FIBA Technologies recently donated to its local Habitat for Humanity Project and pledged to commit additional resources to the project, including 4 days of labor from its employees. FIBA is proud to support this local project and appreciates everything that the Habitat staff does for the community.

Below is a press release that FIBA worked on with Habitat for Humanity’s Local Project Committee Chair, Debra Kuczka.

Generous donations from local businesses, organizations, foundations, faith communities, colleges/universities and schools have helped Habitat for Humanity-MetroWest/Greater Worcester fulfill its mission for more than 20 years. Some donors take a lead role in a construction project, while others get involved with a monetary donation or donate materials to be used in a project. FIBA is doing all of these!!! With a generous monetary donation, the project at 41 MacArthur Drive in Millbury, had the needed funds to get the project off the ground. Also, the employees at FIBA are excited to be participating in four build days on the site and have the needed expertise to help on the days the electrical wiring will be done. As well as money and volunteer labor, FIBA has agreed to donate the electrical materials needed for the project.

Thanks to this gracious donor and its employees, a low-income family will become a homeowner and escape the bonds of poverty housing. The neighborhood will be revitalized and children will be better prepared to realize their potential in a safe, decent, stable home. Without the help of FIBA, the work at Habitat would not have been possible.

Becoming a Habitat Sponsor is one of the best ways to partner with Habitat. “Partnership" is the word most commonly associated with Habitat and it means to join those who require assistance with others who are willing to provide a hand up, not a handout, to a better life. Habitat truly believes that there is an opportunity for all to find fulfillment as we serve one another.
