| FIBA
is the leader in Acoustic Emission Testing
(AET), Ultrasonic Examination (UE) and
hydrostatic testing of high pressure
cylinders and vessels. We have
U.S.
Department of Transportation (DOT)
exemptions special permits for our AET and UT products,
and supply these services from various
locations throughout the United States and
abroad. Our Testing Divisions will
be happy to quote your testing needs. |

allow FIBA to conduct AET of DOT
3AAX, 3T, 3AX, 3A and 3AA tubes. Our
equipment is state-of-the-art and
our personnel are |

among the most
qualified in the field. AET can be
accomplished at all of our
facilities, as well as in the
field at customer locations or
distribution sites worldwide.
On-site testing of ASME pressure
vessels can also be performed if
desired by customer. |

Ultrasonic
Examination
Our Ultrasonic Examination
System is state-of-the-art in cylinder
testing technology. By granting
our special permit
DOT-SP
10922, the
DOT
has authorized FIBA to retest high
pressure, DOT 3A and 3AA cylinders
using ultrasonic test methods in
lieu of hydrostatic testing. |
|
|
We're
applying this same technology to
the re-certification of trailer
tubes of the same specification.
This
revolutionary technology provides a
dramatic improvement in cylinder safety
and efficiency. The key benefits of the
test are improved safety and reduced costs
due to faster turnaround, no valve
removal, and no internal contamination of
the cylinder by water. FIBA has also been
granted an exemption special permit to test certain
aluminum, DOT cylinders by ultrasonic methods
(DOT-SP
12607).

Trailer Repair &
Reconditioning
Our
requalification facilities also
perform complete reconditioning
of tube trailers, skids and ASME
receivers. Below is a Before and
After photograph of a 38-tube,
conventional trailer that has
been fully reconditioned and
upgraded to a 36-tube, modular
trailer using our
patented
design. |
